The S.M.A.R.T business principle

Whether its email sign ups, Facebook video views or even likes on a post, there has to be a method to the madness that is marketing. The aim is to create content with the purpose of engagement; you want the most interaction within a short period of time. The SMART business principle emphasizes that idea.

What is an S.M.A.R.T business principle? It highlights a certain type of targeted thinking:
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time based

Be SPECIFIC with your aim and target audience and goal
Measure your potential, what is your goal? What is your measurement of success?
Make your goal or target ATTAINABLE, make it realistic so that even if it is a small measure of growth – you’ve thought of proper methods and ways of achieving it.
Make the goal or target RELEVANT to the success or growth of your business.
Set a TIME FRAME and stick to it.

On these links attached, we look at examples of how to employ the S.M.A.R.T principle to your business as well as do’s and don’ts when making a SMART goal and working with the principle.
