Shaping the future of agriculture in KZN

The KZN Department of Agriculture and Rural Development released an agricultural Master Plan that will serve as a roadmap to unlock socio-economic development within the sector through specific strategic programs. These programs should bring about a revolution leading to real transformation and be able to address the triple challenges, namely: poverty, unemployment and inequality, that affects mainly youth, women and the disabled.

The Provincial Agricultural Summit 2018, was held in Pietermaritzburg 15th and 16th November 2018 and Tower Uxhaso had the honor of being invited, as well as awarded the privilege of formally presenting our services to all in attendance, including the Honorable Premier  Mr. TW Mchunu and MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. T. Mthembu.

Tower Uxhaso formally presented our services offering which includes, but is not limited to:

* Farm Procurement Program

* Finance Farming Tools and Equipment

* Finance Farming Materials and Commodities

* Logistics of Supply chain and cold chain Operations

* Advance Payments to Farmers

Tower Uxhaso would like to offer special thanks to the Acting HOD for DARD, Acting DG in the Office of the Premier and the organizing team from both Departments, without whom this event would not have been possible.

It is with much enthusiasm that we at Tower Uxhaso look forward to participating in the transformation and development of the agricultural growth of KwaZulu Natal.
